ArbitrumDAO H1 Income Hits $6.19 Million
ArbitrumDAO collected $6.19 million in income during the first half of the year, according to a report by the Arbitrum Foundation cited by The Defiant. The data highlights a shift in revenue sources, as transaction fees from Arbitrum One are no longer the primary driver of income for the decentralized autonomous organization.
Instead, growth is increasingly supported by external chains utilizing Arbitrum technology and returning a percentage of revenue through the Arbitrum Expansion Program. Under this framework, chains settling outside of Arbitrum One and Arbitrum Nova contribute 10% of their net protocol revenue to the ecosystem.
The report notes that license fees from the expansion program accounted for $360,000 in July, representing 35% of ArbitrumDAO income for that month. This revenue coincides with the mainnet operation of Robinhood Chain, which settles directly to Ethereum rather than Arbitrum One.
The collective gross margin on protocol revenue exceeded 97% for the period, improving from over 90% recorded in the previous full year. The metrics underline the growing financial impact of third party deployments on the underlying protocol infrastructure as builders continue to adopt custom scaling solutions.
