Nous Research Secures $90M Series B at $1.5B Valuation
Nous Research has confirmed a $90 million Series B funding round that values the artificial intelligence startup at $1.5 billion, according to TechCrunch. The financing round was led by Robot Ventures, with strategic participation from chipmaker Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital. This latest injection brings the three-year-old company’s total venture funding to $158 million.
The startup is widely known among developers for its open source Hermes Agent, which has been cloned more than 24 million times and reportedly drives approximately 2.5 percent of global AI token usage. With the new capital, Nous Research plans to accelerate its expansion into the enterprise sector through a new commercial offering called Hermes for Businesses. This product is designed to enable corporate clients to deploy customized autonomous agents capable of managing complex, multi-step workflows while maintaining data privacy and security standards.
The infrastructure provider reached an annualized revenue run rate of approximately $36 million by mid-September and anticipates surpassing $100 million before the conclusion of 2026. The substantial capital backing from hardware and venture leaders highlights the growing commercial demand for scalable enterprise agent deployment and robust developer tooling.
