Fidelity Bitcoin ETF Loses $43.7M Amid $236.5M Outflows
Investors withdrew $43.7 million from Fidelity’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund on September 1, contributing to a broader wave of capital withdrawals across the US market. According to data highlighted by AMBCrypto, the Fidelity Bitcoin outflow marked a notable start to the month for the fund.
Despite the substantial loss recorded by Fidelity, the fund did not register the largest single-day withdrawal of the session. BlackRock’s competing spot Bitcoin fund accounted for the majority of the $236.5 million that left US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds during the trading day.
The collective outflows point to a temporary cooling of institutional sentiment and capital allocation toward digital asset investment vehicles. Market participants continue to monitor spot ETF flows as a primary indicator of institutional demand for cryptocurrency infrastructure and related investment products.
