Strategy Proposes Daily Dividend Accruals for Digital Credit Line

According to a report by AMBCrypto, Michael Saylor’s Strategy has proposed a structural overhaul for dividend accruals and payments across its preferred securities, which include STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD. Under the new plan, dividends would transition from monthly, semi-monthly, or quarterly schedules to a continuous system where payouts accrue every single calendar day, including weekends and United States market holidays.

The accumulated amounts would subsequently be disbursed on the next regular business day. For the STRC security, the shift would expand record dates from 24 annually to 365 days a year, while STRF, STRK, and STRD would move from four quarterly record dates to daily accruals. AMBCrypto noted that Strategy aims to position these preferred instruments as liquid cash and yield alternatives by using daily accruals to minimize price volatility, enhance liquidity, and stimulate market demand.

For STRC specifically, the firm intends to maintain the share price near its 100 dollar par value through selective share sales above that threshold and buybacks below it. Previous adjustments from monthly to semi-monthly dividends successfully reduced ex-dividend price drops, and management anticipates that daily accruals could lower volatility further, although no outcomes are guaranteed.

The proposal still requires formal approval from shareholders. If cleared, STRC would initiate daily accruals on November 1, 2026, with the first payment scheduled for November 2. The remaining preferred securities would transition on January 1, 2027, following the completion of their fourth-quarter dividend cycles for 2026. Leadership at Strategy views the amendments as a vital step in issuing robust digital credit products to support the broader equity framework and expand corporate Bitcoin acquisitions.
