AfterQuery Hits $3.2B Valuation

AI training-data startup AfterQuery has reportedly raised a new funding round that values the company at $3.2 billion, according to TechCrunch. The valuation milestone comes just five months after the company announced its $30 million Series A at a $300 million valuation in April, marking a tenfold increase in less than half a year.

According to Y Combinator partner Gustaf Alströmer, the achievement represents the fastest any startup has grown from launch to unicorn status in the history of the accelerator. AfterQuery participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 cohort. In April, the San Francisco-based startup reported an annualized revenue run rate of $100 million and listed major industry customers including Nvidia, Legora, and Motif Technologies.

Similar to other data providers in the sector, AfterQuery utilizes knowledge professionals such as doctors and lawyers for model training. Rather than focusing solely on factual accuracy, the startup trains models and autonomous agents to execute complex workflows by encoding the patterns, decisions, and reasoning of human specialists. Forbes originally reported the details of the latest financing round.
