TechCrunch announced that leadership from organizations including Anthropic and OpenAI will take part in the AI Stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, scheduled for October 13 through 15 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. According to TechCrunch, the event focuses on the technical and operational realities facing builders, including infrastructure-level security, enterprise model deployment patterns, and the architectural requirements of agentic AI systems.

Sessions on the agenda address critical infrastructure and security challenges for modern compute environments. Okta President of Product and Technology Ric Smith is slated to discuss why agentic AI requires rebuilding cybersecurity from the infrastructure up, addressing flaws in traditional application-level permission models. AWS Vice President of Security Services and Observability Chet Kapoor joins panels examining observability, governance, and the architectural frameworks required for autonomous systems operating within enterprise networks.

The event also features technical discussions on applied artificial intelligence. Anthropic Head of Applied AI Cat de Jong is scheduled to share deployment patterns observed from enterprises putting Claude into production workflows. Additional sessions cover real-time inference, physical reasoning, and infrastructure economics as model commoditization shifts pricing strategies across the sector. Further speaker and schedule announcements are expected ahead of the October conference.
