BitMine Nears 5 Percent Ethereum Treasury Goal
BitMine Immersion Technologies added another 53,501 Ethereum to its treasury last week, bringing its total holdings to 5.90 million ETH. According to data covered by AMBCrypto, the company now controls approximately 4.9 percent of Ethereum’s total supply.
BitMine stated that it is currently 133,900 tokens short of its long-standing target to own 5 percent of the asset supply. Based on the latest weekly update released on August 30, the firm reported holding 5,901,112 ETH. This accumulation brings corporate treasury operations approximately 98 percent of the way toward completing the stated target.
The ongoing acquisition strategy highlights the expanding role of institutional entities in capturing significant shares of layer-one blockchain assets.
