Blockworks Unveils AI Agent Compliance Alerts
Blockworks is rolling out a new tool that enables cryptocurrency exchanges and financial institutions to consume compliance alerts directly from artificial intelligence agents, according to a report by The Defiant. The feature removes the requirement for a human analyst to review developments before they reach the customer.
The new capability, named Agentic Detection, goes live within Messari Monitoring, an asset tracking product acquired by Blockworks in June. Traditional analyst verification typically requires around five minutes per development. The new proprietary model, trained on years of Messari analyst data, identifies and surfaces alerts in seconds. This allows exchanges to incorporate machine generated flags into their listing, delisting, and market surveillance operations.
To maintain risk management controls, every alert generated by the system is explicitly tagged as either agent detected or analyst verified. Analyst verification remains the default setting across all monitoring dashboards, and customers must manually toggle Agentic Detection on a view by view basis.
Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz noted that as onchain activity scales, markets price events in seconds rather than minutes. He added that customer demand for near real time intelligence prompted the release, allowing clients to receive alerts from agents first and follow up with analyst verification second.
The underlying detection layer was constructed using seven years of historical analyst coverage of crypto asset events. Human analysts continue to verify developments alongside the automated system, providing an ongoing reference layer for exchange compliance and listing desks dealing with regulatory and audit requirements.
